Accessibility statement

Praxel is committed to making its learning platform accessible, in line with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 and the needs of its learners.

Conformance

This platform is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means some parts do not yet fully conform; these are listed below, with what we are doing about them.

Measures in place include:

• Keyboard operability with visible focus indicators throughout.
• Semantic landmarks and a “skip to content” link on your course, induction, feed and account pages.
• Automatic saving of your workbook, with its status announced to screen readers.
• Labelled form fields, including file uploads, with upload progress and errors announced.
• Interactive induction and training modules built on standard form controls, so your answers work with a keyboard and are read correctly by assistive technology.
• Text alternatives and accessible labels on icon-only controls.
• Responsive, zoom-friendly layouts that reflow to small screens and 200% text size.
• Colour is not used as the only means of conveying information (status also carries text).
• Reduced-motion preferences are respected.
• Sign-in supports password managers and pasting, with no cognitive-function test.

Non-accessible content

The following are known not to conform. We identified these in an internal audit in July 2026 and are working to fix them.

• Videos do not have captions (WCAG 1.2.2). This affects example videos in practical units and any video used in induction. If you need a transcript or an alternative format, contact us and we will provide one.
• Some pages do not have a “skip to content” link (WCAG 2.4.1) — enrolment, sign-in, the initial assessment and the library.
• The drawn signature box on the enrolment form cannot be used with a keyboard (WCAG 2.1.1). It is optional — typing your full legal name in the field below it is your signature, and is all that is required to enrol.
• A small number of icons and input placeholders have low contrast (WCAG 1.4.11). This does not affect body or secondary text, which meets the AA contrast minimum.

Assessment and remediation

This statement is based on an internal audit against the WCAG 2.2 AA success criteria, carried out in July 2026 by review of the platform’s code and content. A full independent audit, including assistive-technology testing, is scheduled; this statement will be updated with its findings.

We are prioritising the items above that affect learners completing their coursework. If any of them prevents you doing something you need to do, contact us — we will provide an alternative and treat it as a reasonable adjustment.

Enforcement

If you are not happy with our response, the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the accessibility regulations. You can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
